Remember To Breathe

Of course, you’re thinking…”What do you mean, ‘Remember To Breathe’?  Isn’t that just automatic in humans?”  Yes, we are all breathing from the moment we are born until we pass away.  But, what is the quality of those breaths?  Are we constantly doing shallow chest breathing or are we doing deep, diagaphramic breathing into our belly?  The difference is astounding.

When we are doing “chest breathing” we are usually anxious, stressed, and sometimes short of breath.  When we do “diagaphramic breathing” we are calmer, relaxed (we’re not holding our shoulders up around our ears), and we are usually happier.

This coming week we are going to be interviewing Human Behavorist and Body Language Expert, Mark Edgar Stephens on the power and importance of the correct way to breathe.  Mark will share with us how he has seen peoples lives begin to change (for the better) once they change their breathing habits.  It will be a great interview.

Mark is also the author of the inspirational book, “Who Are You Choosing To Be?”  You can read his blog here.  If you would like to know more about Mark and his work you can vist his website at http://www.markedgarstephens.com/ You can also follow Mark on Twitter @MarkEStephens
